THIRD PHASE OF FACE TO FACE EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS WILL BEGIN ON NOVEMBER 2

"In line with the gradual transition from distance education to face to face education, the Ministry of National Education announced the details of the third phase of face to face education set for November 2, 2020 Monday with the decree sent to Provincial Directorates of National Education of 81 cities of the country."

Gradual transition to face to face education within the context of coronavirus measures continue. The first phase of face to face education in the new education year had begun for the pre-school and first grade education and the second phase included 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 8th and 12th grade students. Meanwhile, the Ministry of National Education announced the details of the third phase of face to face education for 5th and 9th grade students set for November 2, 2020 Monday with the decree sent to Provincial Directorates of National Education of 81 cities of the country.  
 
According to the program regarding the third phase face to face education, 5th grade students in state and private secondary schools will attend a total of 12 classes during 2 days a week (2 days, 6+6 classes), these students at the imam hatip secondary schools will attend 14 classes during 2 days a week (2 days, 7+7 classes).
 
Meanwhile, 9th grade students will attend 16 classes during 2 days a week (2 days, 8+8 classes)
 
Classrooms will be arranged according to social distancing rules by considering total number of students in the class, each lesson will continue for 30 minutes and there will be 10 minute long breaks between the classes.
 
5th grade students in state and private secondary schools will enter face to face Turkish, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge lessons while 5th grade students in imam hatip schools will enter face to face Turkish, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge, Quran and Arabic lessons.
 
Face to face classes of 9th grade students will be determined by the school administrations according to their shared, elective and vocational lessons in their weekly lesson schedules and other lessons of these students will be provided through distance education.
 
School administrations will take all necessary measures for giving distance education to students in addition to face to face lessons.
 
Parents who do not want to send their children to school for face to face education have to give a written consent and these students will continue their education through distance education.
