MINISTER TEKİN OPENS THE HACI ŞÜKRÜ BAKTIR ANATOLIAN IMAM HATIP SCIENCE AND SOCIAL SCIENCES PROJECT SCHOOL IN KAYSERİ

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin opened the Hacı Şükrü Baktır Anatolian Imam Hatip Science and Social Sciences Project School built by Melikgazi Municipality and philanthropists in Kayseri.

Minister Tekin thanked the deceased philanthropist and his family and emphasized that the contribution of the family is also important to achieve success in education. Stating that education begins in the family, Minister Tekin underlined that as parents, they have to be a part of the education system and do their part.
 
Pointing out that local governments are also stakeholders of the Ministry, Tekin explained that he attaches great importance to the perspective and contribution of local governments.
 
Explaining that they have talked about education investments and planning for almost a day in half of the provinces in Türkiye, Tekin reminded that some municipalities hinder the Ministry and aim to make profit from schools which are considered as a trade area. Emphasizing that some municipalities make all kinds of contributions to the Ministry, Tekin thanked the mayors of these municipalities for their partnership and contribution.
 
"I am glad to see the good examples of project schools"
Noting that he was very happy to see the school defined as a project school, Minister Tekin underlined that he was the person who introduced the concept of project school to the education system in Türkiye. Noting that this concept is a designed model that aims to meet the local needs of schools in each province and to receive the contributions that teachers and administrators in the school can give to the system, Minister Tekin stated that he was very happy to come across good examples of project schools in the provinces he visited. Underlining that he was pleased to see the concept of project school has become widespread in Anatolia, Minister Tekin announced that they were planning to add different dimensions to the concept of project school in the new period. 
 
Attending the opening ceremony, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki, highlighted the Kayseri's philanthropy with various examples. Touching on the importance of building an educational institution, Özhaseki thanked the philanthropist family and Melikgazi Municipality for their contribution to the construction of the Hacı Şükrü Baktır Anatolian Imam Hatip High School Science and Social Sciences Project School.
 
Attending the ribbon cutting ceremony, Minister Tekin and Özhaseki cut the ribbon together with the provincial protocol and the students.
 
Visiting the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce as part of his program, Minister Tekin met with business people and industrialists to hold consultations on vocational training.
