LGS PLACEMENT RESULTS WERE ANNOUNCED

95 percent of 1 million 14 thousand 675 students who chose for schools that admit students by exam and local placement were settled in their preferences. All of the applicants who applied for the quotas opened for the earthquake victims were placed.

Placement results as part of the High School Transition System held on June 4, 2023 are available at www.meb.gov.tr.
 
1 million 14 thousand 675 students made preference for school and local placement with examination between July 3 and July 19 2023. 95 percent of the students were placed on their preferences.
 
204 thousand 812 quotas out of 200 thousand 310 opened for schools that admit students by examination were preferred by the students. The placement rate was 97.80%.
 
Apart from the quotas reserved for the students affected by the earthquake;
 
40 thousand 380 quotas in science high schools and 10 thousand 740 quotas in social sciences high schools have been filled during the initial placement.
 
70 thousand 944 students were placed in Anatolian high schools that reserved 71 thousand 90 quotas during the initial placement. The quota occupancy rate of Anatolian high schools was 99.79 percent. 
 
40 thousand 430 students were placed in Anatolian imam hatip high schools that reserved 42 thousand 76 quotas. The occupancy rate was 96.09 percent.
 
37 thousand 816 students were placed in 40 thousand 526 quotas in vocational and technical Anatolian high schools during the initial placement. The occupancy rate was 93.31 percent. 
 
A total of 13 thousand 795 quotas were opened throughout Türkiye for students affected by the earthquake registered in Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Osmaniye, İslahiye and Nurdağı districts of Gaziantep as of February 5, 2023. All students who made preference for these quotas were placed.
 
Transfers based on placement to the available quota within the scope of examination and local placement will be carried out in two terms. 
 
Students who want to change their school will also be able to request for a transfer.
 
A maximum of 3 schools can be preferred from schools that admit students with a central exam score, local placement. A maximum of 3 schools can be preferred from boarding schools in both terms.
 
Students who choose schools that accept students with local placement and are placed in their first placement will not be obliged to prefer a school and different type from the registration are during the transfer preference period. Students who cannot be placed in their preferences will be able to choose a maximum of 3 schools by choosing the first 2 schools from the registration area in their transfer preferences. A maximum of 2 schools from the same school type can be selected.
 
The placement calendar 
Preferences for the first transfer based on placement will be made between 24 and July 28. The 1st transfer results will be announced on July31.
 
The second transfer preference applications will be received between July 31 and August 4. The results will be announced on August 7. 
 
Placement applications will be received by the provincial/district student placement and transfer commissions for students who cannot be placed anywhere in the vacant quota between August 8 and August16. 
 
Schools and institutions will receive applications for boarding between August 22 and August 25. The placement results will be announced on August 31.
