1st TEACHER EXCHANGE PROGRAM OF THE ORGANIZATION OF TURKIC STATES BEGINS

Upon the decision taken during the 6th Meeting of Education Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States,  the 1st Teacher Exchange Program will take place between June 1 and 12 in Ankara and İstanbul.

The Organization of Turkic States which was founded in 2009 by Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan and Uzbekistan and participated by Hungary and Turkmenistan as observer states had decided during their meeting between November 3 and 4 in İstanbul that Türkiye will host the first Teacher Exchange Program in 2022. The First Teacher Exchange Program will take place between June 1 and 12 in Ankara and İstanbul.
 
It was decided to organize Teacher Exchange Programm during the 5th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States in 2015 in Astana and the decision was approved during the 5th Meeting of Education Ministers of the Turkic States in 2019 in Kyrgyzstan.
 
Teachers from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Hungary are invited to the program. The Turkish education system and guest country's education systems, education methods and techniques as well as new approaches in learning measurement and assessment will be among the topics which will be discussed during the teacher exchange program.
 
Moreover, it is planned to introduce distance education programs implemented in Türkiye during the pandemic by the expert personnel of the Ministry of National Education, special education and counseling centers and vocational education centers to guests.
 
Participants will receive certificates after the end of the 7 day program which will also include cultural programs and visits to schools. The program aims at sharing experience, reinforcing mutual trust, friendship and good neighborhood relations and boosting social and cultural cooperation.
